1v1 Fake Shot + Corner Pass
Dribble towards the defender, fake the shot, and pass it into the corner of the goal with your opposite foot.
Steps
- 1Place one cone 18 yards away from the middle of the goal.
- 2Dribble towards the defender.
- 3Fake the shot.
- 4Pass the ball into the corner of the goal with your opposite foot.
Equipment
- Soccer ball
- 1 cone
- Goal
- A partner to act as the defender
Coaching points
- Sell the fake with a full shooting motion
- Plant your foot beside the ball and keep your eyes up to find the corner
- Use your opposite foot to place the pass rather than blast it
- Aim for accuracy into the corner over power
Common mistakes
- A weak fake that the defender ignores
- Looking at the corner too early and giving away the pass
- Aiming at the middle of the goal instead of the corner
